Group Therapy and Workshops

Some of the most comforting words in the universe are ‘me too.’ That moment when you find out that your struggle is also someone else’s struggle, that you’re not alone, and that others have been down the same road.

As uncomfortable as it may sound, sometimes sharing difficult thoughts and feelings in a group setting can be extremely helpful in facilitating healing. It's essential to recognize the value in receiving feedback from individuals who have experienced similar challenges and can provide insights that resonate with your own journey. Understanding that others share your struggles can offer a sense of connection and support, while learning how others have coped with similar obstacles can provide immense wisdom, solace, and encouragement on your path to healing. In my years of facilitating groups, I have had the privilege to witness firsthand the transformative impact that happens when individuals realize they are not alone in their struggles. This recognition, that others have walked similar paths, can be a profound source of comfort and empowerment on the journey towards healing and growth.

Some advantages of participating in a group:

more cost-effective due to the shared time with the therapist.

connect and receive encouragement from others in a supportive environment.

mutual learning and growth among participants.

a safe space to explore struggles without the fear of judgement.

act as positive role models for each other.

realize you are not alone and suffering is universal.
